What is Botox Cosmetics?
Botox contains Botulinum toxin, which is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet lines, frown lines between the eyebrows, and vertical bands connecting the jaw and neck (platysma bands) in adults. Botulinum toxin can go by different brand names such as: Botox, Dysport, or Nuceiva.

When will I see results?
- You can see results as early as 3–4 days after the injection, but most patients see results within 10–14 days.
What should I avoid afterwards?
- Avoid touching your face for at least one day. Also, you should also avoid vigorous activities, saunas, hot baths, and blood-thinning medications.
Will I lack facial expressions after treatment?
- At Aspen Aesthetics, we want our patients to look natural. To do this, we inject just enough to weaken and relax the targeted muscles without affecting other muscles to allow patients to maintain their natural facial expressions.
How long does treatment last?
- Botox usually lasts for roughly 3 or 4 months which is why we recommend getting a repeat treatment after this point which our practitioners will advise you on.
